Prominent American filmmaker Michael Moore has published a sarcastic post regarding US double-standards following the martyrdom of Iran Major General Qassem Soleimani.
In his latest social media post, the award-winning US director and documaker wrote, “Iran wants war… Look how close they put their country to our military bases.”
Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), were killed in US airstrikes in the Iraqi capital Baghdad early on Friday.
Moore gained prominence in the world of cinema with Bowling for Columbine (2002) about gun violence in America, which earned him an Oscar. He also shook the world with his 'Fahrenheit 9/11' (2004) as one of the highest-grossing documentary of all time. The film won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
